Fresh Edge Vegetable Gardens, Market and Education Centre
The vegetable gardens and greenhouse are being revamped to become an interactive and educational edible garden for children and adults. Situated behind the Colourful Splendour Nursery, just follow the bees and butterflies to this truly ecologically balanced vegetable garden on the banks of the Braamfontein Spruit. Come and discover ecological concepts in this hands-on, working vegetable garden. Learn about plants, nutrition, nature, organic gardening, permaculture principles, life cycles and decomposition. Vegetable Study Groups for adults are held monthly, and all are welcome.

In season vegetables grown in the gardens are on sale on Wednesday mornings 09h00 – 11h30. Alternatively, become part of our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) scheme where a weekly box of vegetables will be put together for you.
