Our History

The REEA Foundation was established in 1935.

Thankfully, the care of people living with severe epilepsy has been better understood in recent years, although to provide a glimpse on past views on which The REEA Foundation was established, here is an excerpt written by J. Scott Brown about REEA dating back to 1938.

As the foundation is nearing 100 years old, many of the buildings on the property have reached heritage status. Below are some images of the historical buildings at REEA including the nursery, greenhouse and gardens which are still in operation today.
